Sample Language for Your Will or Trust

The following language may help you and your attorney when drawing up a bequest that meets your needs.
“I give to the Baltimore Symphony Endowment Trust, a nonprofit corporation currently located at 1212 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, or its successor thereto, ______________* [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

Please note: The policies of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra do not allow the BSO or its representatives to serve as personal representative, executor, trustee or witness for a will or trust.

The Baltimore Symphony Endowment Trust was established in 2006 as a separate 501(c)(3) organization to manage the endowment for the BSO. You may wish to direct gifts to the Trust, or direct gifts to the BSO for immediate use.
